Robert Emrich, Jr.
HACC Foundation Board Member
What month and year did you join the HACC Foundation Board?
Which HACC campus location do you represent?
How long have you lived in the area?
Why did you decide to become a member of the HACC Foundation Board?
I wanted to give back to the community, future graduates and others in need to support a great institution that supported me. I was the recipient of a vary generous scholarship by Mr. John Hall that gave me a full ride through my two fantastic years at HACC. This journey took me to Penn State University (Park) and then to La Salle University in Philadelphia to pursue my MBA. I could not have done it without the help of generous donors like Mr. John Hall. My goal is to show why HACC giving is so important for our future.
What is your professional background, including current employer and position?
I have a strong GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) background having two of the Big-4, large international banks, hospitals and insurance in my background. I own two businesses one focusing on cyber risk, operational risk and compliance with clients including the Navy, a large MedSup insurance company, a defense manufacturer of F-35 fighter jet components and lastly a firm supplying hedge fund consulting. My other business focuses on IRS tax consulting and back office accounting and payroll support.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I believe we should live life to the fullest by working out regularly, biking, cooking healthy and continually focusing on health. I love to entertain and decorate my home with friends and family. I am a Penn State Smeal College of Business Alumni Society Board member and La Salle University Alumni Advisor. Antiques and vintage articles are a passion of mine. I regularly scout for them as I travel to beautiful Orange County, CA or the Clearwater Beach, FL area - two of the most beautiful places in our country. I am blessed to have two wonderful children who are Temple and Penn State students.
