Ramadan is a special time of the year for Muslims worldwide. It marks the month of fasting from dawn to dusk, as a spiritual practice, with no food or drink. This global practice takes place every year, and it can be difficult for students on campus to balance this religious obligation with classes, leadership, work, and other activities. However, through this session, attendees will understand Ramadan as a religious practice, how students can be supported during this time through specific accommodations, and how to be an ally to the Muslim community beyond Ramadan.
All are welcome.
