“I can’t wait to see where I transfer to next with my knowledge from HACC.”
Many students use college as a time to discover themselves and their true passions. Spring Olivares, a student at HACC’s Gettysburg Campus, initially decided to attend college in Florida. After learning it wasn’t the right fit for her, she found HACC and said it has “been an amazing opportunity to better myself in so many ways.”
Spring said she was taught “wrong ways to do things” that have set her back academically and emotionally. She added, “I’ve encountered numerous schools and none have been more willing to help and truly care about all people than the people at HACC.” At HACC, Spring felt welcome.
Due to her setbacks in life, Spring said, “I know how to help others and I am finally at a place where I can put the effort unto others who need it.” HACC has shown her how to reframe her thinking about the world, so she is no longer afraid to take the riskier path, especially academically.
Spring feels #HACCproud when she encounters students who, like her, have worked so hard to get where they are. “I can’t wait to see where I transfer to next with my knowledge from HACC.”
