Enrolling at HACC meant more to Samir than just pursuing a degree. He saw it as an opportunity to grow both academically and personally in a welcoming environment.
Originally from another country, Samir said one of his biggest obstacles when he began his studies was learning the American language and culture. “I saw a different world around me that changed my whole personality and thinking capabilities, and today I feel proud because I learned a lot over time,” he said.
At HACC, Samir found the support he needed to succeed in the Web Development and Design Program. “People should know that professors and staff are very helpful to their students,” he said. Connecting with his professors, even online through Zoom, helped him feel supported and confident during his first days at the College.
After completing his education at HACC, Samir plans to use his skills to start his own business and continue building on the success he has worked hard to achieve.
