Milan was working full-time and eager to make a change, but wasn’t sure where to find the support he needed to take the next steps. He chose HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, because it offered an affordable option to earn his pre-requisites before transferring to another institution to prepare for graduate school.
“Working full-time makes it challenging while going to school full-time,” Milan said, “but meeting the right people who are willing to help you along the way makes life easier.
He offered this advice for others in the same boat: “Just take some deep breaths. Talk to some people who have gone to HACC about their experience.”
Milan, who plans to graduate from HACC in December 2026 with an associate degree in General Studies, will continue his education and apply to graduate programs to become a physician assistant.
