“HACC has provided many opportunities for me to test my limits and regain the confidence that I had lost.”
Life events and tragedies don’t take a pause for college students. Bethany Inman, a HACC architecture student, can tell you that first-hand.
She said, “I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) as well as a few other health issues. I have been on disability for most of the past decade...MS steals confidence, my time at HACC has helped restore that confidence. I also lost my mother, my aunt and a longtime friend in death while attending classes at HACC. The routine of classes helped me weather those difficult times.”
Bethany said that she is trying to get her life back on track and that she has really flourished at HACC. She wants to start a family soon while continuing her education so that she can become a licensed architect.
“On my first day of classes I met a classmate, Paul…We share the same major, Architecture, and have been able to take classes together and help each other,” Bethany said.
Bethany and Paul were married in April 2019. They spent their honeymoon in Italy on one of HACC’s Study Abroad experiences.
