HACC ID and Password FAQs

What Are My HACCid and Password For?

Students use their HACCid and password to access HACC's campus and online services. You need your HACCid to:

  • access your records
  • use HACC services
  • register for classes
  • login to the myHACC portal
  • access the HACC libarary

What Is My HACCid?

We cannot release your HACCid or password through email. This protects your security. Contact your campus Welcome Center at 1-800-ABC-HACC. The Welcome Center can release your HACCid or reset your password.

The Welcome Center will verify your identity before providing information. A 3rd party cannot request your HACCid without your written consent.

What Is My Password?

Your password will be unique the first time you login to the myHACC portal. Your password will be your birth date in the six-digit format (MMDDYY). We encourage you to create a new password. Your new password must be six to fifteen characters -- it must also include one number.

You will create a security question and answer. We will use your security question and answer if you forget your password.

Note: Your security answer is case sensitive. Remember how you enter your answer.

I Forgot My Password. Now What?

Enter your HACCid. Leave the password field blank. Click on the Forgot Password? button to reveal your security question. Successfully enter the answer to your security question and reset your password.

Your security answer is case sensitive.

What If I Can't Remember the Answer to My Security Question?

Contact the campus Welcome Center at 1-800-ABC-HACC to verify your identity. The Welcome Center can then reset your password.

What Is an Advising Code?

The Advising Code is your advisor's digital signature. The Advising Code is not your login password.

Do I Have an Advising Code?

Students need an Advising Code if their GPA falls below 2.0. You may also need an Advising Code during your first year of classes or for a particular major. Contact your advisor to determine whether you need an Advising Code.

Your advisor will also provide your Advising Code if you are asked to submit one during class registration.
