Unionization - Salary and Wages

Full-time Faculty Salary and Wages

HACC full-time faculty are well compensated.

HACC's proposal for wage and salary increases is competitive. In 2024, 68% of HACC full-time faculty had gross wages over $80,000.

HACC provides an outstanding benefits package to employees and continuation of these excellent benefits is included in the College's proposal.

Please note the following:

  1. The College contributes money to each employee's Health Savings Account:

    1. $1,500 for employees who select an employee-only health insurance plan

    2. $3,000 for employees who enroll in a family health insurance plan

  2. Employee monthly contribution for health care is incredibly low. For example, employee-only coverage costs $31-$80/month (depending on base salary) and whole family coverage is $86-$220/month. The employee contributions to healthcare premiums haven't changed in six years. The College's proposal would keep these rates flat for 2025 and offer minimal increases in the remaining contract years.

  3. The College pays 100% of premiums for the standard dental and vision insurance plan for full-time faculty and their families

The College is committed to equitable pay for all employees and always seeks ways to avoid passing additional costs onto our students.

Adjunct Faculty Salary and Wages
Currently, HACC adjunct faculty earn more money per class than any other PSEA-represented community college in Pennsylvania based on data shared annually through the PA Commission for Community Colleges for 2024. While Central Pennsylvania's cost of living is lower than in other parts of the state,  HACC proposed to increase adjunct salaries by removing the two lowest adjunct tier rates in year one, then providing annual increases in the next two years of the contract.
