HACC Statement on Faculty Union Decision to Suspend Strike

HARRISBURG, Pa. - HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, has been notified that the Harrisburg Area Community College Education Association (HACCEA) - the union that represents the faculty - has declared that it suspended its strike as of Nov. 4, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

As always, HACC’s primary focus must remain on maintaining College operations to support our students and their education.

The College remains committed to reaching a fair and fiscally responsible contract that aligns with our core principles:

1. Prioritizing student success
2. Supporting the affordability of its offerings
3. Providing all employees with comparable benefits
4. Increasing wages for all employees while ensuring fiscal stability, as outlined in the College’s strategic plan
