"Designing Effective Brochures and Fliers," will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, in Suite 231, Three Penn Center, 349 Wiconisco St, Harrisburg.
Leading the discussion will be Kim Barger, founder of Barger Advertising in Mechanicsburg, who specializes in providing freelance marketing, design and communications support to businesses.
"At some point, every business owner has to think about promoting her company in a positive, effective manner and that includes designing a brochure that will get noticed," said Barger. "I plan on sharing ideas with these women that they can take back to work and implement for themselves or use as a guideline when working with someone else."
The Women's Talkabouts have continued to draw a growing number of participants since they were first offered, said Fran Verotsky, director of HACC's Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies.
"What is really interesting is that every time we offer one of these sessions, we get repeat participants, as well as new entrepreneurs," she said.
The Women's Talkabouts will wrap up 2007 with Kim Evans-Werner of Impeccable Pages in Columbia facilitating "Website Development for Your Small Business" on Friday, Nov. 16. The programs will continue in 2008 with topics focused on the financial side of operating a business.
Women business owners interested in attending should call 221-1311 to reserve a seat. Participants are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch. HACC will provide a dessert and beverage.
