Personal care homes are residences that provide shelter, meals and assistance to older people or individuals with physical, behavioral health or cognitive disabilities who are unable to care for themselves.
As an administrator, you are responsible for the management of a personal care home. This includes the health and overall well-being of the residents, remaining compliant with state regulations, implementing policies and procedures and ensuring it is a safe environment.

You must provide the office with a copy of your current CPR/AED/First Aid card. This is no longer included in our program and you must provide documentation showing completion of your courses prior to the licensure exam. There are NO exceptions to this requirement.
Our course is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services to meet the requirements set forth in the regulations, effective October 2005.
Upon completing your certificate, you can continue your education and earn an associate degree at HACC! Our healthcare programs, among others, maybe of interest.
When you complete your associate degree, you can transfer credits to a four-year school.
For your convenience, you can complete the entire training at our Harrisburg Campus provided you take some of the coursework through multiple modalities (e.g. Online, Blended and/or Remote Learning.)
