Our 136-hour program gives you the necessary knowledge needed and mandated by the PA State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators. In our program, you will be taught the responsibilities held by a nursing home administrator, which includes staffing, financial management, supervising residential care, marketing and community outreach. In the end, you will be prepared to sit for the Nursing Home Administrators licensure.
Our program is broken down into 16 modules, which can either be taken within the full program or as stand-alone courses for those who wish to take them for continuing education units. In addition, you can take a 16-hour review course.
Upom successful completion of this certificate, you will be prepared to:
Modules are schedule to meet either Fridays or Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. In addition, a $5 food voucher for each module is include in the tuition and is to be used at Homestead Village’s dining facility.
Our certificate is designed to lead you directly into the workforce. If you wish to continue your education, you may enroll in any one of HACC's associate degree programs.
Once you complete an associate degree, you can continue your education by having your associate degree credits transferred to a four-year school and pursue a Bachelor's Degree.
