The Fundraising Campaign
Central Pennsylvania faces important challenges and opportunities that HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, is best positioned to address. The need for a skilled workforce has been cited by community leaders as critical to the region's economic development. Our citizens are not attending college at a rate that can generate and sustain regional prosperity. Therefore, HACC and the HACC Foundation are moving forward with fundraising campaigns to help the region resolve its challenges and capitalize on its opportunities. These campaigns will allow HACC to invest in the future for our region by increasing access and opportunity, leading workforce and economic development initiatives and ensuring access to excellence in instructional equipment and technology that will prepare the workforce.
The purpose of a capital campaign is to raise funds for a tangible product (something you can touch - a building or a piece of equipment, for example). HACC’s fundraising campaign is a comprehensive campaign, raising funds for four priorities - one capital priority (Bruce E. Cooper Student Center Renovations) and three intangible priorities (Emergency Assistance Funds, The President’s Fund for Excellence and Scholarships).
The five-year fundraising campaign benefits current and future students, employees and the communities HACC serves.
Please visit the Cooper Student Center Renovation webpage for more information about the Cooper Student Center Renovation project, renovation timeline and how the project will benefit HACC students.

The needs are different at each of HACC’s five campuses located in Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York. For a complete listing of the fundraising campaign goals for each campus, please visit the Fundraising Campaign webpage.
A consultant conducted a feasibility study in July 2014. Through this study, we determined the four priorities that would be best supported by our community.
