1. The Main Building on HACC’s Lancaster Campus remains open.
2. The East Building on HACC’s Lancaster Campus will remain closed until further notice.
3. The College will share an update when the East Building is ready to open.
4. Note that although power has been restored to the Main Building, the East Building sustained additional damage due to a water surge at the building's main power source when power was briefly restored. This resulted in significant water damage to the electrical systems that supply the building.
5. Students who have classes in the East Building will receive additional information about their classes via email. Please monitor your email for updates.
6. Employees who are normally located in the East Building should consult their supervisor or executive dean for more direction.
7. Remote classes, clinicals and online classes are running as normal.

1. The College received a report of Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) on July 22, 2026. 
2. The areas involved include the Senator Jeffrey E. Piccola Law Enforcement Complex, J.W. Evans Physical Education Building and Rose Lehrman Arts Center on the Harrisburg Campus. 
3. These areas will be closed on July 23 and July 24, 2026, for disinfection. 
4. Note, in the J.W. Evans Physical Education Building, only the gym and locker rooms will be closed. 
5. HACC will use Moon Beam3 UV machines to disinfect and follow up with an approved EPA product for disinfection. 
6. The Centers for Disease Control recommends the following to prevent further spread of C.diff: a. Washing your hands with soap and water b. Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
