Anita, an active-duty service member and HACC alumna, initially chose HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, for its location and ease of learning. She remains grateful for the foundation the College provided for her education, and credits HACC with honing her confidence as she explored what fields she wanted to pursue.
“HACC allowed me to figure out what I wanted,” Anita said.
“It gave me confidence and made me hungry for the next phase of my education. Their realistic teaching skills and intelligence on subjects far surpasses any online institution that I have had.”
Anita graduated from HACC’s Business Administration program in 2007. She now teaches leadership skills at Inter-European Air Forces Academy for the U.S. Air Force in Germany, and shares the same inspiration she felt at HACC in her everyday interactions with her own students.
“I emulate the professors that I had at the Lancaster Campus in my own teaching engagements,” she said.
Outside of working with students, Anita also credits her children as one of her greatest successes.
“HACC taught me that success doesn’t stop with family or work! You can still have a life and be successful. I didn’t believe in myself, but now I live every opportunity I can!”
