WEB PAGE STANDARDS & SPECIFICATIONS:

• PDF's must be designated as such with the verbiage (preferably at the bottom of the page) of "Get Adobe Reader here" with a link to Adobe for software download: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
• Also, please put (pdf) after the link to any pdf. 
• Absolutely no font tags to be used (font display controlled by external stylesheets).
• Use of Strong or Italics ok.
• No underlines. Our stylesheets automatically underline links.
• Try to keep html 'clean'. Cut and pasting with Word/FrontPage/etc can add extra, unneeded code.   TIP:  If you copy text from any of these programs, please copy it and then paste it into the HTML VIEW in Commonspot.  This pastes ONLY the text and not the formatting.   Switch to regular view to add line breaks and formatting.
• NOTE: You only need to copy the content between the "BODY" tags if using Frontpage or Dreamweaver.
• Refrain from duplicating links on the left navigation again within the body text. Allow visitors to use the left nav.
• Refrain from specifying colors of any type, background, font, etc. The stylesheets will use pre-approved colors, etc.
• Avoid use of "Click Here" links (e.g. 'to sign up, click here' is best handled and screen reader compliant if it says 'Register for xyz Activity')
• Phone numbers will be formatted as (xxx) xxx-xxxx
• Headings, titles and left navigational links will be regular case – first letter cap and the rest lower. You may use an h3 tag for headings within a page. h2 is reserved for the title of the page ONLY.
• Listings of the campuses will be in alphabetical order.
• All text and page content to be left aligned.
• Refrain from using images until a specific format is established.
• No horizontal rules or other graphics.
