What is a CRN?

Each class offering of any course has its own unique identification number.

This is referred to as the CRN (or Course Reference Number). Typically, the CRN consists of 5 digits for Spring or Fall semesters and 4 digits for summer semesters.

For example, you might register for a fall section of an online Accounting 101 course which has a CRN of 20001.

Student Activities

An important part of your education and experiences at HACC is involvement with student activities, events, and programs. Online and on-campus opportunities allow you to seek out new adventures, give back to your community, participate in HACC governance, and make life-long friends!

All students taking online courses are members of the Virtual Campus Online Student Community. This community provides you with a "voice" through participating in the HACC governance process, networking opportunities, and advising. All of this is available at your fingertips!  The online student community can be accessed by logging into Desire2Learn ( http://hacc.campuspack.net/Technical_FAQs/Desire2Learn_Help_for_Students ). The Student Community will appear on the course list.

Online students are encouraged to become actively involved in on-campus student government associations, clubs, organizations and activities through the Student Life Offices at any of HACC's physical campuses.  For more information about the online student community, please contact Jazmin Byers, Coordinator, Student Affairs, at 717-221-1300 ext. 1521, or e-mail jbbyers@hacc.edu and/or visit our campus wide Student Activities ( http://hacc.edu/StudentLife/index.cfm ) pages.
