HACCid, Passwords, and Advising Code
Why do I need my HACCid and password ?
Your HACCid is necessary to: access your HACC records, utilize services at HACC, login to the myHACC portal, register for classes, utilize the HACC library, as well as many other services provided to HACC students on campus and online.
What is my HACCid?
Due to security reasons we cannot release HACCid or password through email. Contact your campus Welcome Center at 1-800-ABC-HACC . Welcome Center staff will verify your identity prior to releasing the HACCid or resetting the password. The HACCid will not be provided at the request of a 3rd party without specific, written consent from the student.
What is my password?
The first time you access myHACC, your password is your date of birth in the six-digit format (MMDDYY). You will be prompted to create a new password, which must be six to fifteen characters and include one number.
You will also be prompted to create a security question and answer. Your answer is case sensitive. Take note to remember how you enter your answer. The security question and answer is used in case you forget your password.
I can’t remember my password. What do I do?
The security question and answer is used in case you forget your password. Type in your HACCid, leave the password field blank, and click on the Forgot Password? button. Your security question will appear. If you successfully answer your security question (remember the answer is case sensitive) you will be able to reset your password.
I can’t remember the answer to my security question.
Contact the campus Welcome Center 1-800- ABC-HACC. Welcome Center staff will verify your identity prior to resetting your password.
What is an Advising Code?
An Advising Code is the digital form of your advisor’s signature. The Advising Code is not your login password. You need an Advising Code if your GPA is below 2.0, if you are in certain majors, or if you are in your first year of classes. If you are unsure whether you need an Advising Code, contact your advisor.
If you are prompted for an Advising Code when attempting to register for classes, you must meet with your advisor to obtain the Advising Code.
