“I have credits from long ago; I’m not sure what I have or how good they are, but I’ve been thinking for a long time that I might be able to do something with them.”
Counselors hear this tentative introduction frequently. Many adults, who weren’t motivated to complete previous education, have found that the desire for promotion or change rekindles their interest in education. HACC is prepared and would be happy to evaluate your past work and tell you what next steps you could take to maximize the value of this past.
Your educational history will still be with the college(s) you attended. Your previous college(s) website will instruct you in how to obtain transcripts. If you request transcripts from these college(s), either official transcript(s) to accompany an admission application that will transfer previous college credits to your new HACC program, or unofficial transcripts that you can carry to a HACC counselor, we can give you an idea of your options.
Potential students are often pleasantly surprised that their past can be a head-start. We provide Career Counseling to complement your decision-making and goal-setting.
