Guest students are students who are currently enrolled and are in good standing at another College or University and are taking courses at HACC to fulfill the home institution's degree requirements.
Prior to applying for admissions to HACC as a Guest Student, consult with your home school advisor or Registrar to assure credit transferability before choosing your classes at HACC.
Before you can begin classes, there are several important steps you must complete:
Step 1: Complete the Application for Admission available online and pay the one-time, non-
refundable $35.00 application fee.
Step 2: If you plan on taking a class that requires testing or prerequisites, meet with your home
institution advisor to review the Guest Student Course Approval Form. Your advisor
will need to sign the form if you are scheduling HACC courses that require prerequisites
or placement testing. Submit your form in-person, via mail or fax, or email a scanned copy to
your campus Welcome Center.
Step 3: Review your admit letter that contains your HACCid and PIN login information for HACCWeb and
Log in to HACCWeb to set up your login information.
Log in to myHACC portal to access your account information and register for classes.
Step 4: Activate your HAWKMail e-mail account. New students are assigned a HAWKMail account
and account information will be provided with their HAWKmail account information in the
admit letter. Returning students will be mailed a letter after they have registered for classes.
Step 5: Register for classes:
If you receive a Prerequisite and Test Score Error for the course in which you are attempting to register, you must submit your signed Guest Student Course Approval Form to the Welcome Center at the campus you plan to attend.
Ideally, you should be aware of any prerequisites prior to registering and have the approval form submitted at least 2 BUSINESS DAYS IN ADVANCE of the start of registration for the planned term.
Registering in Person
If you are unable to register online through myHACC, you must submit the Official Credit Enrollment Form. Submit your Guest Student Course Approval Form with the Official Enrollment Form to the HACC campus you plan to attend.
Step 7: Pay tuition and fees by the tuition due dates, either at the Welcome Center at the campus you
plan to attend or online via myHACC.
All residents living in PA one year or longer save by paying lower in-state tuition rates.
Students living in Cumberland, Dauphin or Perry Counties may be eligible to receive sponsoring rates and will need to contact their school district office to obtain a certificate of residence.
Step 8: Obtain your Photo ID and Parking tag at your campus security office. (Parking passes are not used
at the Lebanon Campus.)
Step 9: Purchase books at your campus Bookstore or Online.
Step 10: Request that your official HACC transcripts to be sent to your home college or university after the
completion of the coursework. Transcript request forms can be obtained from the Records

Please Note: Guest students are generally not eligible for financial aid through HACC. However, to determine if you are eligible for financial aid through your home institution, contact your home institution and request that a Consortium Agreement be processed. A Consortium Agreement is a contract between two colleges that helps to determine financial aid eligibility while ensuring that any financial aid is processed through the home institution.
- The Guest Student Course Approval Form authorizing enrollment in a HACC course is required as a means of ensuring your course preparedness.
- The approval is not intended nor does it substitute as transfer course approval from your home institution.
- Consult with the Registrar at your home institution to assure credit transferability.
