Each campus houses its own simulation laboratory. The simulation laboratories use a variety of state of the art equipment to provide students with the hands on experience necessary to learn the skills needed in clinical practice. In addition, simulation and static mannequins are used to help students work through scenarios and practice critical thinking skills.
Lab modules are scheduled throughout the semester. Specific module requirements are found in the student syllabus and due dates are noted in the tool for each course. Experienced lab faculties assist the student in learning various skills, evaluate student skill performance demonstrations and guide students through simulation scenarios.
Lab quizzes must be successfully completed prior to the completion of most lab modules. The lab quizzes are completed online at the student’s convenience.
