The Board of Trustees has established an ambitious timeline for the selection of a new president for HACC. However, they have also made it clear that the position will remain open until a thorough national search is completed and the right candidate has been selected for the job.

August – September

• Search committee formed
• Campus forums conducted on all campuses (dates to be announced)
• Presidential profile created
• Advertising appears in Chronicle of Higher Education and other publications and websites
• Applications process opens

October

• Target date for submission of applications for full consideration – October 25, 2010

November

• Search committee selects 6-10 semi-final candidates to interview
• Field narrowed to 3-5 finalists
• Finalists participate in open public forums at HACC
  

December

• Board of Trustees announces final choice unless decision is made to extend the search
