HACC formed the Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies to assist individuals in turning their dreams of business ownership into a profitable reality. Their focus is one-on-one counseling and educational programs that serve entrepreneurs from the initial idea stage through the first three years of operation.

Sometimes people know they want to have their own business, but that's all they know. They haven't made any other decisions yet. They may not even know what kind of business they want. The Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies is unique because we work with people in these preliminary stages. It is one of the few entrepreneurial assistance programs that works with clients before they decide on a business.

When you are considering what type of business you want, we can provide direction and work with you to explore your options until you find the right fit. Most people have a broad range of life skills and business experience. Drawing from this valuable base, our counselors can help you answer questions like:

"What kind of businesses match up best with my skills and experiences, my market, my desired work hours and my long-term business and family goals?"
