Course Description:

|
Student participates weekly in an assigned early childhood classroom and demonstrates skills and strategies needed for planning and facilitating curriculum experiences with young children. This class includes observation and assessment of children's learning, facilitating learning experiences and projects. The student must complete 26 lab hours (2 hours per week) in a program approved early childhood setting and demonstrate satisfactory competence in lab skills. Prerequisites: EDUC 122, 231, and 240 with a grade of C or higher, and medical examination and Act 33 Clearances (child abuse and criminal record). Corequisites: EDUC 232 or PSYC 212 and EDUC 258. |
