Course Description:

A skills-building sequence for non-native English speakers that teaches the grammatical structure, vocabulary, and sound system of American English. Integrated development of the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills within each level. Focus on both fluency and accuracy. Students who must enroll in the ESL courses will be identified through the ESL portion of the College Testing and Placeement Program. Prerequisite: ENGL 028 with a grade of C or higher, or meeting of the ENGL 028 exit criteria through the ESL portion of the College Testing and Placement Program. |
