Nurse Aide Training and Noncredit Health Care Calendar/Brochure (July-Dec 2009)(pdf ) 

This course is designed to prepare the inactive nurse for return into the nursing field. The class is 88 hours in length - 40 hours of theory, 8 hours of lab and 40 hours clinical experience.  Current trends in nursing theory, pharmacology, and clinical skills are presented in a non-threatening environment. Clinical experience will be offered at an acute care medical-surgical facility to provide optimum learning opportunities. Textbooks are an additional cost (around $200), can be purchased from the bookstore, and are mandatory the first day of class.

Copies of the following documents must be available on the first day of class: valid PA nursing license, current CPR certification, physical, immunization history, PPD testing, criminal background check, malpractice insurance, and current health insurance information.
