HACC is a proud member of the highly competitive Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC) and the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association (PCAA). The purpose of the EPCC is to coordinate athletic activity and promote competition among Eastern Pennsylvania's community colleges and technical schools.
The HACC Athletics Program is composed of six varsity intercollegiate teams and one club team. The varsity intercollegiate opportunities offered are: Men's and Women's Basketball, Golf, Soccer, Team Tennis, and Women's Volleyball. Men's Volleyball is currently a club team, participating in both the Mid-Atlantic College Volleyball Conference (MACVC) and EPCC.
Participation in HACC Athletics is open to students at all HACC campuses, as long as the student meets the eligibility requirements. Team practices and home matches take place on the Harrisburg Campus.
Even though the Athletic Program is young, beginning in the 2001-2002 academic year with three sports at the club level competing in the EPCC, HACC Athletic Teams have been achieving success across the board. As of the 2008-2009 season, the Hawks have combined to win 12 EPCC Regular Season First Places, 9 EPCC Tournament Champions, 5 EPCC Tournament Runner-ups, 5 PCAA State Tournament Champions, and 2 PCAA Tournament Runner-ups.
