Roots – Legacy of the Mr. and Mrs. William F. Brossman Charitable Foundation

HACC’s Lancaster Campus and The Mr. and Mrs. William F. Brossman Charitable Foundation have enjoyed a solid partnership since 2002, when the Brossman Foundation was established under the will of Mrs. Bertha Brossman Blair to honor her parents William F. Brossman and Jemima T. Brossman, founders of the Denver and Ephrata Telephone and Telegraph Company.

Since then, the library and learning center at HACC’s Lancaster Campus has been renamed The Brossman Charitable Foundation Library and Learning Center, and the Foundation has contributed $125,000 towards scholarships at HACC.

“No institution has done more to expand and enrich education in Lancaster County than the HACC Lancaster Campus. It is in this context that, as we considered ways to maximize the impact of the goals established by Mrs. Blair, it became readily apparent that HACC Lancaster was an integral element in maximizing the benefit…We very much expect that…the relationship will be sustaining.”
