Cristin Millett is an international sculptor who investigates the intersection of art, science and perceptions of the female body.

Cristin Millett is an artist whose research focuses on medical history, specifically the human reproductive system. In response to her research, she creates objects and installations that give insight into societal attitudes about the female body and question taboos surrounding sexuality. At the age of 16, she began her professional studies at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, a residential, performing and visual arts high school and university.

She received her BFA from Kent State University and her MFA from Arizona State University. Millett exhibits her work broadly in group and solo exhibitions across the United States. Her work was positively reviewed by Lenny Campello and in publications such as Sculpture, Art Papers, and the Chicago Tribune.

She has received grants for her work, including a 2007 Individual Creative Artists Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Since 2001, Millett has taught courses in sculpture, foundry and installation at Penn State. She was raised in El Paso, Texas, and currently resides in State College, Pennsylvania with her family.

Lecture and installation sponsored by SGA and the HACC Lebanon campus.

The art installation, which is an interactive experience, will be on display in the HACC Lebanon campus lobby from March 21 to April 20. The campus lobby is open Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
