Adult Basic Education
GED Preparatory Classes & GED Testing
The Adult Basic Education program is designed to promote the employability of students by improving their literacy skills and preparing them to take and pass the General Education Development (GED) examination. Classes are free and instruction is designed to develop GED related skills in reading comprehension, math, grammar and writing. During classes, students will have the opportunity to take official GED practice tests to ensure they are ready to take the actual examination. GED tests are offered regularly at the Harrisburg campus. Once students obtain the GED, they have the option to transition into college through the Next Step orientation program.
