Art Gallery exhibits talents of HACC alumni
Twenty-two HACC alumni are showcasing their talents this
summer at the Alumni Art Exhibit sponsored by the Rose Lehrman Art
Gallery, the HACC Art Department and the HACC Alumni Association. The
exhibit began July 16 and runs through August 27 at the Rose Lehrman Art
Gallery on the Harrisburg Campus. Admission is free.
All HACC alumni are invited to attend a reception at the
close of this special exhibit from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27. The free
event will be held at the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery and adjoining rose
garden. You can find out who is exhibiting their works and more here.
A special Halloween event…ghosts haunt HACC
Gettysburg
On Friday, Oct. 30, the HACC Alumni Association kicks
off HACC Alumni EDventures, its new series of fun,
education-friendly events for HACC alumni, family members and friends.
Join us on the night before Halloween to explore the paranormal (see
schedule). With adjunct HACC instructor Judith Pellegrino, you will
learn about ghosts and the characteristics of an authentic haunting. You
will also roam the streets of Gettysburg on a candlelight walking tour
and hear stories about ghost sightings emerging from the quaint houses
and gentle fields ravaged by the Civil War. All this and more for
only $20 per person. More
details.
HACC students thank you
The HACC Alumni Association thanks the hundreds of HACC
alumni who contributed to the 2009 annual appeal, Believing Beyond
the Limits. You are helping HACC students to believe and
achieve! To date, alumni have generously contributed more than $30,000.
This support will make a world of difference in student programs,
college capital projects, alumni services, and most importantly,
providing financial assistance to students. Because of you, the Alumni
Association is awarding full tuition scholarships to five deserving
students for the upcoming school year. Learn more about these students.
It’s not too late to make a gift. More.
