Student Population Demographics/Fall Semester

This section provides student demographics data for the Fall semester. It includes the:

  1. Number and percent of freshman and sophomore students.
  2. Number and percent of male and female students.
  3. Race/ethnicity breakdown of students by number and percent.
  4. Average student age —reported by full time, part time and overall average.
  5. Number of students enrolled in all credit developmental courses.

This section provides the number of full-time, part-time, and total students enrolled in each program (major), as well as cumulative overall totals for each term.

Full Time Equivalent Student Data (Credit Courses)

This section provides the number of full-time, part-time, and total FTE (full-time equivalent) students enrolled in each program (major), as well as cumulative overall totals for each term. One FTE is defined as a student enrolled in at least 12 credits for the term. Part-time FTEs are calculated by dividing the sum of each part-time student's credit hours by 12, which is considered a FT credit hour load.

Credit Hour Data (Credit Courses)

This section provides data on the average number of credits carried by each student. Data is provided by full-time and part-time student status as well as cumulative totals and is presented by program (major). This data reflects credit hours by student regardless of campus/location where courses are taken, and thus is NOT representative of the campus-specific credit hour totals.

Graduate Data (Credit)

This section provides college-wide graduate data. The first subsection reports the number of graduates awarded. It includes diplomas, certificates and degrees. It also reports the percentage who graduated with honors, high honors and highest honors. The second subsection reports the number of graduates per year. It begins with the 1965-66 academic year. The third subsection reports the percentage of graduates with honors by year. It begins with the 1965-66 academic year.

History of All HC/FTE/Tuition (Credit)

This section provides data on the tuition cost per student. It is for residents of sponsoring school districts, beginning with 1964. It also reports full-time, part-time and total headcount. It includes FTE numbers for students enrolled from sponsoring school districts.

 

Noncredit Registration Headcount and FTE  (full time equivalent) Data

This section provides data on the total noncredit registration headcount and FTE registration numbers. Totals are duplicated as students may have registered for multiple classes in a term, and each registration is counted individually. Data is separated into Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.

 

School District Data (Credit)

This section provides data on school district enrollment for all campuses. It includes:

1. Number of students enrolled from each school district. It reports full-time and part-time headcount, full-time and part-time FTE, and percentage of total headcount. It organizes data by campus. It includes all school districts in each campus's service area. It also includes sponsoring school district enrollment at each campus.

2. School district graduates and post-secondary education rates. These are for the latest year available from the PA Department of Education. It organizes data by campus. It includes all school districts in each campus's service area. It also includes the number and percentage of post-secondary students who matriculate to HACC. The data is for students who start at HACC for the Fall term following their high school graduation.

This section provides data on the number of credit sections we offer. It lists the data by discipline and includes the number of sections, total students, and average number of students enrolled in each section.

Personnel Data –Semester

This section provides data on various personnel areas. These include demographic profiles for administrative full-time staff, full-time and adjunct faculty, and classified staff. It also includes workload assignment statistics for full-time and adjunct faculty. Data is presented for the fall semester only and is current as of the fall term audit date (which runs at end of the fourth week of classes).
