Curriculum Compliance

The Office of Curriculum Compliance and Assessment has been joined with the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment to form the College’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness

“Because student learning is a fundamental component of the mission of most institutions of higher education, the assessment of student learning is an essential component of the assessment of Institutional effectiveness….“ (Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 2006)

The primary goal of the Office of Curriculum Compliance and Assessment is to oversee the College’s approval process for developing, reviewing, and revising courses and programs to ensure that the process and corresponding documents adhere to both internal and external compliance requirements. Our services range from ensuring “that all i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed” to alerting stakeholders of new and revised regulations that may impact curricular planning and development.

We wish to be viewed as a comprehensive resource area for the College community on curricular issues. Our objective is to collaborate with faculty, department chairs, administrators, and directors/coordinators from Workforce Development on program and course documents. We strive to ensure that implementation timelines are met and that the documents reflect academic excellence and are readily interpreted by the College’s shared governance committees, the Registrar’s Office, and all relevant external stakeholders.
